It has been so frustrating to look on Twitter and see so much damn misinformation about Chris attending a "homophobic, child molesting covering up church". Legit, go on Twitter, search "Hillsong Church" and see how many times Chris Pratt comes up.
If anyone who's from here also goes on Twitter, I just wanna make things clearer and say this is misinformation. For being a website that's so against COVID-19 misinformation, they have no problem with the slandering of a middle aged white man by accusing him of all these awful labels, when he really hasn't done anything

Chris Pratt has said in the past, he goes to Zoe Church in Los Angeles.

People have also been saying two church are connected or "branches" of each other. But they're really not. Look on both of the church's websites, they barely mention each other. The only connection the two have, is the founder of Zoe church used to be a pastor at Hillsong. That's it. That is the loosest connection possible. Zoe Church has made no stance on LGBT people at all. So you can only speculate on their view on them.

Now I don't mean for this to come off as me trying to white knight a celebrity who doesn't even know me, but I am legit tired of just trying to talk about the casting in the new Mario bros film without someone going "you know Chris Pratt attends a super homophobic church, right? He needs to be recasted" when that isn't even true. Its like, triple-layered Guilt By Association.

Most of the hate is legit people slapping labels on him for no good reason other than speculation.

He didn't go to that Biden fundraiser with all those MCU actors last year so tons of people were saying he was a Republican, just for not showing up.

Forgive me for not knowing but what homophobia and child molestation coverups were there? Was this perpetrated by a single individual? Is that person still working there?

I ask because I actually grew up being forced to go to church every week until I was 20 years old and I absolutely hated it. That being said I know from attending church that if a pastor or elder commits such an act as stated, that doesnt make up the position of of the whole congregation.

I mean if there was one Hillsong location that was homophobic that doesnt mean that if you go to one of the dozens of locations in the world, that you're a homophobic, child-molestation enabling asshat.
