I replaced my desk chair the other day because the height adjustment thingy was fucked, and kept slipping downwards. The new one I got can go higher than the old one could, and it's so much more comfortable at the higher height. Like seriously, it's been two days and I already feel so much fucking better.

It's my home desk, not a work one. I don't have an actual job at the moment - I take care of the housework and that, my partner works full time. Basically old-style relationship but with genders reversed. Though I do sometimes pick up short-term part time stuff here and there, but nothing right now.

It costs half as much as the replacement chair, and I'd have to order it and wait for it to arrive compared to just going to a store and buying it.

Factor in that the old chair was starting to show signs of wearing out due to age anyway, and it just made more sense to buy a whole new one.

Funniest thing though is that this chair is better in almost every way (apart from the lack of armrests) and yet was $20 cheaper than the old one.
