If they were ever forced into a situation where they had to decide one way or the other, yes. They would. Under the current justices.
That said, I firmly believe they will do everything possible to avoid being put in that situation. Because the second they rule on it one way or another, massive riots are inevitable. That case is a MASSIVE powder keg. They'll dip around forever on their tiptoes, keeping that mess at arm's length for as long as they possibly can. --- Haven't had a good sig idea since 2006 ...
