Went to buy some dog food today and half of the shelves are grain-free. I thought that shit was causing heart problems in dogs? They don't put warnings on them or anything either.
I'd understand if your dog has a grain allergy but there's no way half of the dogs out there have grain allergies. My dog has a chicken allergy tho --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Because it's trendy and they can charge more. It's like gluten-free diets where there are very small number of dogs who are allergic to grain but a large number of people who get grain-free dog food because they think it's healthier.

My dog actually did have a grain allergy, it caused reddening of her ears. It used to be much harder to find grain-free food but since has been more readily available.

Yeah my dog doesnt react well when she eats chicken. Her snout turns pink and she starts licking her paws like crazy. So I get that for sure if it's an allergy issue.
