Criminalizing drugs is a failure. Out of all the western countries, US is among the top for the longest prison sentences. That's basically going to lead to a totalarism government. Wonder how much has Duerte's government killed for taking drugs. Nobody should have to live in fear, especially for small petty crimes. What we should be doing is spend more money on rehabilitation for offenders. Make prison a little more livable and teach them valuable skills. Maybe invest more on low income and homeless population, as well as veterans. I do find it hilarious that those that typically support very strict punishment from the government--but as soon as their rights are infringed upon in an effort to save others lives, they don't want to be a part of it. --- Less is more.
