I wouldn't say generic, but it definitely have a "mid-shelf game" vibe about it to me. That's not to say it can't be good. My expectations aren't super high for it, so it have plenty of room to prove me wrong.

I'm surprised talk around it is so middling to negative among Gamers. It's not something I'm excited for, but I think it looks pretty good. I feel if I was a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan I'd be all over it. Even as just a fan of good games, I'd like to play it.

I think most people are disappointed with the fact that you only get to play as Star-Lord. That is kind of a bummer. But aside from that, a GotG action-RPG sounds like it can have all kinds of potential. So I guess we'll see the closer it gets to release.

it just seems like a one and done type game, like once you beat it there's no real replayability there

I can't get how they look. They look like caws in wrestling games. No effort in that regard. I might have been spoiled by mcu movies, but I don't feel that way in regard to the Spiderman games/movies. Because those games looked like an effort was made.

I might give it a go. Played and didn't care for Avengers.
