Its incredibly shallow and dumbed down compared to Dishonored.

Combat is super easy thanks to the braindead AI, so stealth isnt worth considering - possibly why they made it so barebones and dull.

The only thing thats kind of interesting is the invasions but the invader is at such a disadvantage it becomes a matter of time before she loses, even if she does manage to kill you once.

Theres not enough maps or changes to the maps as the day progresses to make them not dull and repetitive after playing through each once.

The graphics, for a next gen exclusive, are super disappointing. Theres absolutely no reason why this game couldnt run on a PS4. The art direction is decent but a lot of the island looks dull and washed out,

The story, of what little there is, is shallow. Theres barely any reason to care about Colt, never mind the visionaries that barely get any characterisation.

Some neat ideas but its a 6/10 game guys.

Cant trust that because its been review bombed by people salty its not on Xbox and it being broken on PC I think.

It runs fine on PS5.

I think a studio should make all of their versions of a game good

True, cant blame people being mad it runs like ass on PC.

How old do you get before you trust your own judgement on games >_>. I get using reviews for insight. But use what they say, not a number. When you're older you should know your own taste better than a score made up by others.

Well, sure, but its disappointing to see a game made by a studio whose past games youve really enjoyed (Dishonored/Prey) and this game sharing a lot of similarities with especially Dishonored get perfect scores from lots of publications and it turns out the game is super dumbed down.

That's reasonable. I think Im just at a place I accept that everything has a price and I can't trust any major sources. That price might be something other than money, but you usually get pushed out if you can never have any give. Like trying to be a good cop in a bad department. All I know is I have less reason to trust it than I do to trust it. Even more so when using places that get review bombed weekly now. Now they got outside sources fuckin with the reality. It's just better to get to a place where you're content with your own perspective and can say "fuck all that unstable mess"

I dont agree with this. Early on sure but when you're in the game later and there's enough enemies where you cant run and gun you have to change the way you play.

I was leaning towards your view but i ended up having to stop going full Rambo when i would get invaded and have to fight off the eternalist at the same time.

It's odd because most of the YouTube reviewers I trust(like ACG, MrMattyPlays, Cr1TiKaL , Easy Allies) tended to give it rather average reviews. It's only like the big name sites that were like "OMG!! 10/10! Best Arkane game EVER!!!". Which is abnormal because normally super polished and hyped games get universal praise. You don't really see games get a 10/10 one place and a 7/10 somewhere else. Strange.

What is considered late game? Ive killed every visionary at least once and the only one where the enemies felt approaching overwhelming was the masked party at night and even then all you had do was run away for a bit.

I'll never understand why people take numerical scores so seriously. Just read or skim the actual review, and decide if it sounds fun
