The core game is basically unchaged, but with 4K visuals, 60 FPS, Metal Sonic vs. races and the all new Tails Tokens which ended up making S Ranks easier because if you ever died you just respawned right where you fell without any sort of score or time penalty. Outside of one hard freeze where I lost maybe 2 minutes of progress I didn't experience any of the glitches that were seen on twitter, granted that was mainly the Switch version and I was playing the PS4 version on my PS5. The platinum is a basic 100% playthrough getting S Ranks on every stage, collecting all 180 Red Rings, obtaining all 7 chaos emeralds and then playing every stage in the game in a single go via the Egg Shuttle. All the other trophies will pretty much pop in the process of obtaining all of those. We still got a ways to go until Sonic Rangers or whatever it ends up being called.
