Im a medical patient, too. I havent had a drink in about five years and this is happening all over Colorado. These growers who supply dispensaries compete by making it stronger and stronger and its to the point where its too strong. Im tired of being relegated to shitty jobs with low pay and ridiculous hours. Im not saying I will never smoke again, but I honestly might not. It is also making me unbelievably paranoid. I don't think the studies mention the form of ingestion but if you were to tell me that this was the result of taking dabs, I could easily believe it. But then again, weed has never been stronger. I was at a dispensary and I asked the budtender how long it takes him to go through an eighth. He told me "like 2 to 3 days" and all I could think was, holy fucking shit. It takes me 2 to 3 weeks* to go through an eighth and yes, this is high THC(25%+). So yeah, I'd definitely say that there's a culture of abuse around marijuana for sure. Theyre too strong, people over-use them, and peoples kids find and eat them. I would honestly be very understanding if they banned edibles. All you need is flower or hash. That stuff is strong enough, as it is. I also completely dont believe this only affects 2% of us. Ive been asking around after reading this thread and Im hearing more and more people saying that they and their friends are having the same issues. Every time, a friend would convince me "oh you just smoked too much", or "you got a bad hit" or some other reasoning. Second time was from a bong, other two times just a joint. After college, never tried again. Dunno if I'm allergic or what.
