@TC. Jewish people tend to stick with Jewish people And Palestinians tend to stick with other Palestinians, Arabs or Muslims.

What Palestinians want is something Israel will never give them, and that's their land.

But isn't that mindset wrong? I support more interracial marriages in US, i think it will solve a lot of our problems

the palestinian diaspora has not always been treated well in other arab countries, and not all palestinians are muslims

they're deeply religious and into their own ethnic background. Well Palestinians are. Israel is a little more liberal. There's some religious and some not as religious.

levantine muslims (palestinians included) aren't known for being particularly fundamentalist, beyond influences (which can probably be traced to egyptian scholars) that have taken hold among some since the 1940s-1960s. you're correct, however, in that israel has slightly more liberal elements due to the influences of its diaspora.

palestinians are not, however, exceptionally insular compared to their israeli counterparts, and the mingling of israeli and palestinian youth in some areas is a noted source of ire for israeli conservatives.

it really takes a backseat to the national character of the conflict, if you'll keep in mind that pre-israel palestine was a mix of the three major abrahamics - even if mostly muslim - who mingled and got along fine with each other.

escalating tensions in the years and decades following the arrival of the settlers and the establishment of israel did create division between these communities, but the lines are not as clear-cut as one may believe. some of the most militant palestinian nationalists, for instance, have been christians, even if a small minority.
