i.e. that whole adding 2~3+ inches to their actual height thing

what's wilder, too, is that - due to how overwhelmingly prevalent a practice it is, and how skewed everybody's perceptions of certain heights are as a result - the few dudes who are honest about their height are the ones who ironically get called out on not knowing how tall they are

Yep, see shorter guys all the time say they're 6+ ft when I'm 5'11. then those same people turn around and say that I'm really 6'1/6'2 or some other bs. Makes me think if everyone else measure their height with their shoes on since that's the only way their listed height would make any sense.

Though I guess it doesn't really matter if they lie, it makes them happy and that lie isn't hurting anyone so (like those girls that are looking for 6+ft guys and end up getting a 5'10 guy who told her that he was 6 feet aren't getting hurt at all imo)

Seriously. 6 foot is pretty damn tall. Im 6 foot and a half inch or maybe 61 and I swear tons of guys have told me theyre 6 foot and Im a good two inches taller than them.

Based on experience, people are in general bad at assessing height and length.

Like some gay guys who claim they want a 20+ cm long dick in them but then cant handle 18 cm in reality

I do the opposite. I'm 6'1" and when other dudes tell me they are 6 feet tall when they are clearly several inches shorter than me I tell them I'm 5'11"which usually leads to some sort of panic/existential crisis.

"No way dude you've gotta be at least like 6'3" "

I actually underestimate my height. I'm closer to 5'4" than 5'3", but I just day I'm 5'3" anyway.

It's only an internet thing from what I've seen, people don't care too much about it in person... though I'm not exactly the most social person so maybe height shaming is actually more common in person for all I know

Same. I'm just barely taller than 5'11.5", but I just say 6'.

Saying that 6' is the average height is like saying D is the average cup size.

I find funny how the whole social system of wanting to be 6 ft tall and expectations around it come from an arbitrary unit system, the imperial, and human's obsession with round numbers.

Like if the round value of 6ft corresponded to a height of 5 11, everyone would be happy.

Of all the things Im insecure about with myself, height has never been one of them. Im not super tall either. I just think its dumb for people to make such a big deal out of height.
