I don't disagree with you leaving for mental health purposes, but this seems like a "Im looking in the mirror and can't take it" type thing. Otherwise, it would be very easy to just skip over those topics, like I do with most political topics. You can train your subconscious to automatically dismiss topics and look over them. It's harder to do if they feel personal. I recently spent a few weeks away. Doesn't feel like it changed much tbh. Probably mire subconsciously. But hopefully it works out better for you.
