with Chris Redfield, played the HD Remaster.

I got the ending where I saved Jill from the prison cell, and we got away but the mansion didn't explode and an eye opened up in the middle of the screen (The Tyrant?).

Looked up some endings and I don't even remember a Rebecca character lmao. Whoops guess she died

Also, was really surprised that the Tyrant was the final boss, he was a pushover. I was sure there was going to be an actual boss after that. Did I miss something?

If you saved Rebecca then you got a harder boss fight after the lab battle.

Since you dont remember Rebecca im assuming you let her die which wont get you the good ending which wont present you with the second (final) tyrant fight on top of the helipad at the end which is a tougher fight. though none of the bosses in that game are really difficult.

What can I expect from Resident Evil Zero?

What platform did it originally come out on, is it as long as Resident Evil?

It came out on the gamecube as well. It is about the same length as RE1 on a blind run.

Overall mechanics of combat are the same, but the item system is totally different. Instead of using an item box, you put them on the floor. The best thing to do is put all your stuff in the main hub area of the game and surrounding rooms for easy access.

You control 2 characters you can swap to at any time for puzzles and fighting.

Yeah I enjoyed it. If you ever played and liked Silent Hill, it's kinda like that (but less scary)

RE:0 is basically RE1 except with annoying mechanics added in.

You'll also care about Rebecca a lot less since you murdered her lol

0 is fundamentally the same, but with some new big mechanics added which may or not piss you off. its alright for what it is, but definitely not as well refined as REmake. Length wise id say 1 is longer, but like always with these games it comes down to how you grasp the puzzles and the backtrack/item management (of which theres a LOT of it in 0).

I don't hate 0 as much as most RE fans but it's definitely not as good. If the part about RE1 you liked the most was the aesthetic of the game then you will probably still enjoy 0. I'd recommend going to RE2 remake instead though.

Also, if you care about the story, Jill gets different cutscenes with different characters, so replaying RE1 isn't the worst idea in the world.

They probably patched it out, but there may also be a glitch that gives her infinite grenade ammo, so you can kinda faceroll it if you like.

The GL ammo glitch was only in the NA release of the Gamecube version @pegusus123456

nah, I think I mixed up Rebecca and Jill and thought that there was only one girl the entire time and they were the same person. I definitely remember having a girl in the room where the colorful chemicals were, does she die sometime soon after that? I remember going back to that room at some point thinking shed treat my wounds but she was gone and I was like wtf

I would play the 1 again as Jill before tackling 0. Try and go for the good ending (its a bit more transparent with Jill). The game is also quite different as her.

I remember Rebecca's death being fairly easy to miss. IIRC, it's something like you hear a scream once you get to a certain room and she dies if you don't make it to her in time.
