Hawke's voice wasn't bad, the implementation of the dialogue wheel coupled with the voice was bad. Switching up your response type would result in your Hawke sounding like they had multiple personalities. The only way to avoid that was to stick to a single type of response, and that's a terrible design.

Have alan tudyk voice HK-47. Kidding aside

Combat should be over hauled. If your using light sabers or vibroswords you attack using right analog stick and use the x triangle sqaure circle buttons as your main force powers you assigned

for blasters you shoot them like Call of duty style. But they overheat ala mass effect
This is a terrible fucking idea.

Leave it as an rpg but tweak battles. Eww

Some of yall dont understand or appreciate what made kotor great. You just want it to be another generic action game set in space

Combat is fine. Dragon Age origins proved dnd type combat is still viable in wrpgs

Just streamline some things and update char creation/skill and ability trees so you cant perma fuck yourself with stuff like tech knowledge/lock picking etc (or make it so party members hit the necessarily thresholds to help compensate for what you lack)

Just needs a more fleshed out world with places you vist not being 3-5 screens max

...so how are you gonna say Hawke was bad when you just said they weren't and you're issue was with the design?

I don't think DAO uses DND combat. Pretty sure it was real time with pause and used stats and percentages to calculate hits with no dice rolls.

I think that would be tough to balance with the melee combat.

They all have bad design. Thats why having voiced over dialogue is a terrible choice to begin with. It always sucks.

I don't want either of those games combat. But I don't want original KOTOR combat either. The dice stuff is awkward now.

DA Origins doesn't use dice rolls.

KOTOR specifically uses turn based dice rolls to calculate your hits. It all runs in the background but rolling the dice is how it is calculated.

Specifically in KOTOR the issue is you start on Taris often missing hits on basic enemies so that planet drags more than it should and then suddenly you're just overpowered and Flurry + Force Speed just overwhelms basically everything.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is the type of combat I want in KOTOR. Skills are important. Melee and ranged both have uses. Skills are still useful. The game can basically pause while you choose a command. etc. I think that's a good middle ground.

Would love combat similar to Dragon's Dogma, just replace bows with blasters.

Change the combat (not sure what style I want out of it though tbh)
Expand on some of the companions, give them all more dialogue and companion quests like Mass Effect
Add an extra planet or two, just because you can
Add more nuanced choices to sidequests

That's about it, mostly just want additions, not changes
I mostly agree with this.

I wouldn't even need new planets, maybe just expand and flesh out the ones already there a bit more, I'd be fine with that.
