Oh so thats it? So its just like those vampire diaries that girls also watch just to see the guys

Gotcha

Supernatural is the closest thing to it but Lucifer at least what I saw of it (season 1 and 2) felt more like a cop show a lot of the time.

It like both for Tom Ellis' dashing good looks and the overall premise

And the writing's not too bad either

I don't know how it went when it left network TV, but the first 3 seasons had some nice overarching stories burdened down by the most formulaic plots out there.

1) Lucifer's being an ass about something.
2) Crime is commiitted he worms his way into the investigation of.
3) 2 false leads will follow and the 3rd will be the actual bad guy.
4) Motives of bad guy will echo the life Lesson Lucifer is supposed to learn to stop the ass behavior in point 1.

My girlfriend watched it and I glanced at it every now and then while playing video games, it seemed ok but not something I'd go out of my way to watch.

I watched the first episode way back when, it was the incredibly generic cop procedural "WITH A TWEEST" that was so popular with networks for some reason.
The only interesting thing about it was he was "bi" seemingly only so they could use a "devil's threesome" joke and then I assume never mention it again.
