It's amazing how sloppy some old movies were with their sound editing during fight scenes. I've seen several black and white movies and film serials which were guilty of this.

At least today, it seems like the editors pay attention to whether or not a punch is actually connecting.

Or those times when the sound doesn't match what you're seeing, it's kinda delayed or early. Takes me right out of it.
