They take their sweet time doing it. That's the way I like it tbh.

I like Sleigh Bells but they definitely feel like one of those bands that were kind of a one-album wonder. I did like some of their latter stuff though, but Jessica Rabbit was pretty forgettable.
Man, I hard disagree with people who say that. I think, yeah, Treats is definitely their best album but their other albums have great stuff too. Reign of Terror (which is a really close second become Treats for me) have their all-around best song imo.

Bitter Rivals is probably their weakest album for me and even then I still think it's super solid.

I mean, I liked Reign of Terror and Bitter Rivals but I wouldn't say either were necessarily great, or even good, albums. Just enjoyable. Jessica Rabbit stands out to me as an album where I just straight up don't remember a single song in it. It's actually curious to me that you thought Bitter Rivals was worse when it had some songs that slapped, like Sugar Cane and Sing Like a Wire.

They kinda remind me of The Go! Team, only worse in just about every way and while the latter has a problem of most of their albums sounding the same and being emblematic of a specific time in music, they still put out pretty good stuff imo.
Yo, Sugar Cane is up there as one of my favorite songs by them. Probably in the top 5. But yeah aside from that, overall Bitter Rivals just always seemed the "weakest" to me. In quotes because I still really like it. I want to listen to Texis a few more times but so far, I put it above Bitter Rivals and Jessica Rabbit. In a lot of ways, it give me strong Treats vibes too.

It's funny that you mentioned The Go Team. I've been meaning to listen to more of their music. I really dug the one album. I can't remember what it's called, but it have that song The Power Is On, which was what got me to listen to it in the first place.

I'll listen to Texis sometime soon, then.

As for The Go! Team, I don't care what anyone says, they're one of my favorite bands ever. Sure, they don't really diversify their albums (at least from what I've heard, since I haven't heard their newest yet), but their sound is so unique, energetic, and brings such a nice, positive vibe. I always find that my mood improves when I listen to them.

The Power is On is from Thunder, Lightning, Strike, their debut btw. I highly recommend everything they've done and I wouldn't be surprised if I liked their newest release either. I need to get back into listening to new shit. lol
Yeah, that's what it was called. Another song I liked from them was the one they did with the girl from Deerhoof.
