pojr 09/09/21 12:07:35 AM #11:	bulbasuar is the easiest starter to use. breeze through the first two gyms and you get leech seed (the only 1 of 2 pokemon that learn it) squirtle gets you through the 1st gym, but you have some issues in the 2nd gym since it's water type. charmander you have some real problems. first 2 gyms are super effective against you and your fire moves do nothing. --- pojr I summon it. Brock wasn't that bad with Charmander (at least not in the OGs, he was harder in FR/LG) seeing as they didn't know any actual rock moves. Even though Rock halves fire damage, Onix and Geodude have low enough special stats for Ember to still do a decent amount of damage per attack against them, it most certainly doesn't do "nothing", people just don't like to see the "it's not very effective" text lol.
