One is owned by Wal Mart, if you care, and would be giving your money to said company. The other has offered great benefits to its employees, on top of god deals for customers, since before it was the cool thing for bigger businesses to pretend to do.

I'd go with Costco between the two.

Costco is a better company to give your money to, I don't know who has better stuff. Last time I had the ability to go to both I don't remember them being much different but that was like 15 years ago.

I canceled mine this year though, I'm not convinced it's worth it. Almost all of the stuff you can buy in bulk is either perishable (not useful unless you run a small restaurant), junk/processed food, or already cheap (rice, canned goods). Some items I've seen there are even more expensive than the regular grocery.

Costco has better meat and cheese, higher end fresh and canned food items, and their return policy is better, but they have absolutely CRAP produce and a poor selection of sodas. Sam's has great produce and a better selection of drinks, snack foods, and bread, and a wider selection of basic fresh & frozen items.

They're pretty similar in terms of what they sell and how much they charge.

I liked the meat at Sam's more, but Costco is closer to me, and they also have a gas station and whatnot
