I ran into the limit with the 200GB one in my Switch when I went to download Kazuya in Smash a few months ago, and with No More Heroes 3, Shin Megami Tensei V, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and maybe Metroid Dread on my list of upcoming or released games to get (along with some others on the backlog), I'm definitely going to need the space.

Maybe you should beat all the games you have already and then delete them off the card for space?

I have a SanDisk 512 GB one, paid $80 CAD for it.

Basically any SD card is good enough for the Switch as long as it's not complete trash.

Considered going for the 1TB one, but seeing as I've only just hit the 200GB limit after four years with my current one, I doubt I would get anywhere close to filling up 1 TBs anytime soon (and if/when the time comes, the price would have come down quite a bit by then).

Yeah that was the only reason I bought the 512 GB one in the first place. You can get 128 GB ones here for $20 all the time, so 4x the space for 4x the cost was reasonable to me (and also it's still the lowest it's gone lol).

If you did buy it from Amazon make sure you check it when you get it - when it comes to SD cards a lot of the stock Amazon gets from third-party sellers is fake, and supposedly they just mix all the stock together so there's a chance you can get a fake one even if you're technically buying it S+S by Amazon.

I got the Samsung 512GB micro in my phone to expand storage as I keep a lot of music, concert videos, & the like on it & I don't feel like paying for cloud space. It has been wonderful and makes me angry that mobile phone developers are dancing to Apple's tune & phasing out MicroSD slots.
