2 is better, but neither of them are amazing. They really only exist for the interactions between the characters. The actual gameplay is meh

I personally hated it.

I found the combat to be too watered-down compared to main Persona games.

I wasn't a huge fan of a chunk of the dungeon crawling which just seemed to go on way longer than it should. (Though your mileage may vary depending on if you already like EO-style gameplay)

Most of the characters were demolished by bad writing which reduced them to a few character traits that they would bring up constantly. Akihiko in particular got downright assassinated.

I did like the main plot of the game, at least. Almost all of the rest of it, though? Ehhh.

It's okay. You could break the combat to make even Reapers hilariously easy with Links though. Also I really hate dungeon crawlers; I only tolerated it because the rest of the game was fun plus it was Persona. I also hate that they made that little girl so precious because the ending was depressing as fuck :<

This is an issue the Disgaea series has with characters from other games. They take a personality trait and turn it to 11.
