So on the topic of life being a simulation and weird coincidences I've noticed... I was just talking to one of our cashiers about half an hour ago about the Kia cruise I took a few years ago. She asked me where it went, told her the Bahamas.

Okay, so shortly afterward I pull her from her register to go into the office and count the drawer, etc. On the way to the office, an older coworker named Roland asked tongue in cheek "Are you leaving us defenseless, Sheena?" Which he always asks when it's her time to clock out.

She said Roland likes pretending, which made me think of the song "The Great Pretender" by the Platters, which I mentioned to Sheena.

Okay, so as I'm counting the drawer, I find in the nickels slot... a Bahamian five cent coin. Interesting, I think. I was just talking about the Bahamas.

I wrap up, and when I exit the office, what song is playing? "The Great Pretender." Granted, it's part of the store's playlist, but the timing...

It's also in our nature to assume coincidences are not correlative, because that goes against what we've been told. Doesn't mean it's not true. Especially when I experience this type of stuff all the time.
