Wood & drywall actually have a porous surface, allowing them to absorb the paint. So, when you paint, it gets all sucked in & actually dyes the material whatever color youre using. However when youre painting something like tile, its sort of like sticking a sticker on glass. All it takes is a little water & heat, or get just under the surface a little with your nail, and the paint comes right off. Its not permanent.
