Some of the early cases have some hiccups but going on from there everything is straight up in quality. Characters are adorable. And nah, Yamazaki's games had better reception than AJ, PWvsLayton, and JFA, all games by Takumi. Also, GAA1 as a single game is quite poor, which tanked the sequel's sales in Japan, part of why it took so long to localize. Of course, when you can have two games to tell a story it's easier to make it grander.
