Did you do that like in high school? Or recently? I remember my mustache wouldn't actually connect to my beard until I hit my late 20s.

Even thinner facial hair can be trimmed to enhance your appearance. You could go retro or do a fade or something.

Also if that's not a possibility there are other patterns you could break in an effort to be more healthy. You're going to want to get into more positive mindset and focus on yourself regardless; you can't really expect to have someone come rescue you. The good part of doing that is if you do find someone then you'll be strong enough together (likely at this stage in the game) to do whatever you want.

Idk, life is long and full of twists and turns. You could become a king of sex in your 40s and 50s. I wouldn't worry too much about the molds and expectations that were thrust upon you in highschool or whatever.

I kept my beard until I was about 26. I mean I can't speak for girls preference but it never really seemed to work for me.

I'm almost 32 as well and I never had a girlfriend either, though tbh I think I can get one even though I'm weirdly stingy. And it's not even about looks, like for me I barely have any friends in life and for the most part most of the people I've befriended I had to know their personalities a good amount just for me to even talk to them. Like I can't ever see myself ever talking to a stranger on a whim, even if they're really cute or whatever.

Like the "closest" I've ever been in getting a girlfriend is with this one girl at work, I've been at this job for 5 years so far (she's been here for 9 years so she's always been here throughout my whole time here) and it took me like 3 years in the job where I felt comfortable enough to talk to her as a friend because I have a hard time trusting people. And since that time we've been getting slightly closer imo, like we'll do more assignments together, we talk alot more often and in our talks I make her laugh pretty damn often and we've been more touchy lately as well. With all these in mind it got other people on the job thinking that we're an item. We even had a discussion on how other people think that we're a couple and I flat out told her that I don't mind that people think we're together, it just makes me look good lol. And she told me that she doesn't mind that people think that we're together either. And even with all that I still won't ask her out, like unless she's the one who asks me out I will always fear the worst which is her saying no and having our friendship degenerate.

as much as some of the stuff in PUA books is not great, there are some pretty solid principles

also you cant expect to suddenly get a gf in your 30s if youre not willing to work on yourself, youre trying to sell yourself, make it appealing, improve yourself and market yourself appropriately, once initial interest has sparked then you try to build a relationship, the initial spark is pretty fuckin important though
