Board 8 > 18 y/o Kid was Horrifically Crushed by an ELEVATOR after it MALFUNCTIONED!!!!

18 y/o Jamaurs McFarland, a college prep football player was horrifically crushed to death as his 2 team mates watched in horror when residents of the building say that elevator has long been overdue for an inspection malfunction in Atlanta!!

3 of them were making their way to practice when they boarded an elevator at 444 Student Housing when it suddenly collapsed. They said the elevator on an upper floor fo teh building was beginning to fall before it stopped and opened normally on the 3rd floor. 2 of them walked right out but before the 3rd student could get out the elevator began free falling and he was pinned between the fall and the elevator car in the shaft for an hour before emergency personnel arrived...

His teammates spoke off camera because they were still horrified of what they saw and said they could not see his upper body because it was being crushed between the gap so only his bottom half was visible and left "dangling"

Atlanta Fire Rescue arrived and said the student was "not alert" but "breathing" when the extrication was completed

Unfortunately, the teen had already passed when they finally got him out

Champion Prep is a post graduate academic athletic program that helps bridge the gap between high school and college for students who want to earn a 4 year scholarship at 4 year colleges

Residents of this building say the elevator has been a death trap waiting to happen and the owners never bothered to fix it because it was too "expensive"

Jamaurs family was notified and the team are making their way back to Missouri

The odds of this happening are, what, 1 in 20 billion? Usually, anyway. So no, I'd only be afraid if the elevator had a reputation like that.

The landlord/lady is gonna wish they spent $100,000 to fix that thing, because this kid's family is gonna want a hell of a lot more than that. And they're probably gonna get it given the deliberate neglect of the equipment.

P.S. Poor guy. I feel really bad for him and his family... :(
