Are there different Canadian accents, or do you all sound like a middle-aged fisherman from Newfoundland?

Ya, there's the upper Quebec accent, the lower Quebec accent (and they fight, yes actual fight, over which is the "true" Canadian accent), the Urban Ontario (which is very much like eastern American) and then there's the west which is a slightly different... similar to Montana/Washington/Oregon but not exactly.

Just like there are different English accents, there are different accents in most if not all other languages.

I live in California, and I think I have noticed different ones around. Not really where I live, but if you head towards Sacramento and Los Angeles.

Pretty much. You often won't pick up on their nuances unless you're really familiar with the language in question (and even then, non-native speakers often end up picking up the language from multiple sources, which may result in a reduced ability to identify accents), but accents are not at all unique to English. There's near-infinite room for subtle variations in how one speaks, and we tend to adopt the variations that those around us display.

Stay where youre at and Ill come where youre to.

Newfies sound Irish, Nova Scotians have a slight Scottish accident (surprise), Manitobans have the most Canadian-sounding accent - closer to the US border, and some natives have their own accent as well. Oh, and obviously theres the Qubcois with their incredibly subtle accent.

Ive also wondered this before, if people in the south of foreign countries like Germany or Japan have a drawl. Its tough to answer, because most of the people Ive asked cant hear the difference between a Georgia accent and a Canadian accent. Where as I can tell Georgia, Texas and Tennessee apart, but cant tell a Munich accent from a Berlin accent. I know they must exist, just not how they sound.

Newfie. It's an... interesting dialect. I can never remember if "where ya to" means "where you're going" or "where you are." I believe it's the latter, which is less than intuitive.
