I'm American and I lean towards no, I do not hate it. There are things I do hate, cough healthcare cough, but there are things I love like free speech and the second amendment among others

I wouldn't say I'm very loyal to the country and I damn sure ain't loyal to the govt. I'm loyal to the people and things I care about and that's it. If that loyalty crosses over with the country as a whole that's fine

-Government is corrupt.
-Rich rule everything.
-Large wealth inequality
-A large amount of the population is stupid and selfish.
-A significant part of the population wants white supremacist fascism.
-Most people don't care that the country is on a downward spiral and continue to support those who make it worse.
-Our culture is mostly vapid and selfish.
-Healthcare is awful.
-Infrastructure is awful.
-The war on drugs.
-Murderous and abusive cops who rarely ever get punished.
-The "war on poverty" aka treating homeless people like shit.

No. We have some shitty practices no doubt, but a lot of people ignore that it's pretty much the same all over the world. We just have some unique shitty points due to our history, while other countries have their unique shitty points. Humans are just shitty in general and we gotta hope we can work to be less shitty.

We're terrible and prolly the worst country on the global stage in terms of how much we fuck the world up, but there aren't many other places I'd rather live

We have an massive, varied country with so many world class sights and natural areas and you can jump in your car and go see all of it and do whatever you want for any reason at any time

I think we take that for granted. There's no freedom of movement like that in a lot of places

I'm very thankful for my citizenship here, because there are other countries where kids are starving, or there's basically no government or it's a third world country. But I don't think it's the best country in the world.
