lol, I'm all for paying for convenience but painting a 900 sq ft loft should be super easy. It'd probably just take no more than 1 weekend. On saturday morning start moving furniture and getting everything prepped, start painting. You might finish by evening. Worst case scenario go into sunday morning and be done sunday afternoon. Use the spare 2k to pay have a threesome with 10/10 escorts.

I'd fuck it up, really not good a manual labor and have no interest in doing so

Also never paid to sleep with a girl, don't plan on starting now

Seems pretty silly to me to pay 2k for something you could do yourself in a few hours.

But hey, more power to ya

assuming they did a kitchen, bathrooms, areas with lots of tricky brush cuts it's not a horrible deal. Assuming it was a good job. I'm pretty professional at painting now and charge a flat rate 25 an hour. Customer provides paint I provide the labor and all equipment. I can do a good job quickly so it usually ends up being way cheaper than a big company.

Do the math; calculate how many man-hours it involved and multiply it by 20-25 an hour; that's usually the cheapest you'll find a good paint job. Probably closer to 25 now given the coming inflation.

I could have likely done it cheaper but you didn't get totally taken unless all they did was 900 sq ft of wall with a roller and no brush work.
