I tried to learn in high school. I lived in the mountains and there were lots of stop signs on hills. Stall central basically. Never picked the skill up.

Now I want cars that only come in manual transmission. Can't drive em though

I'll never not be mortified by how many Americans can't drive manual and how much they overstate its difficulty. It wasn't even a choice when I learned to drive. You learned manual, and people only ever really drive manuals here (UK).

There are very few cars in the American market that even come in manual varieties.

It wasn't too bad.
It wasn't that hard to do, but there was a lot I had to mentally keep track of, having to clutch and shift for everything.

I'm learning how to drive a big rig truck soon and I wanted to get a head start.

You only need the clutch on first and reverse on the big trucks. It's fun.

Manual cars are fragile snowflakes

Shut the engine off at the slightlest inexaxt movement

Only if you don't know how to drive.

What's the point of them if you don't need to?

Yeah, but on the CDL test, I have to double clutch.
