One of the first things I did was replace the keyboards for the computer rooms with soft keys

I know very little about mechanical keyboards, but I picked the brown keys because it sounded like a good mix of not being so loud while still being responsive.

I've liked mine. I bought a 65% so I can throw it in my laptop bag and take it with to the office when I have to be there.
I might keep looking at layouts between 65% and TKL

A full keyboard has 108 keys, a TKL (ten key less) doesn't have the cluster on the right with all the numbers (the numbers 0-9 and some other buttons, called ten key because ???) A 65% keyboard has the alpha and numeric characters, arrow keys, and 1 row of convenience/function keys (like pg up, pg down, esc, prt scrn).

I think there's probably a sweet spot in between those two sizes. (And full is way too big, I want I portability)

I'm quite tempted to get a Unicomp New Model M for work. The guys in my department call me "fast fingers", so I may as well enjoy it instead of using the shitty generic Lenovo keyboard all the workstations have

I cancelled my order and got blue keys instead. I was going to have to wait 2 weeks for it anyways. Now Ill get it tomorrow :)
