I like to always say that it doesn't exist since it wasn't released anywhere (that matters :D)

It is good though, but I'd say I like Illusion of Gaia more

I rate the opening 1/5, every time I try and go back to it I get put off right away

I love the game overall, but the magic is so damned useless . . . and yet so much of the sidequests or optional areas reward you with the ability to cast more spells you probably won't ever cast. That alone is why I vote as low as a 4. There are maybe two OK spells in the game, including a healing one iirc, but you don't need them.

The plot, the characters (mostly), and the music? Top notch from the SNES era, and I wish Quintet at least got to see the game come to the US and be loved by more people before Enix closed those doors on them - a bittersweet end. That might have been better than Enix closing them down while the game was in the midst of localization. =(

I don't think it is perfect but there is no way it can be dropped to a 4, so 5 it is.

I wish this was poll was out of 10, because this is a 9/10 game, maybe 8.5 at worst. Or 4.5 out of 5, but again, no options for half points.

Beat it twice, had a blast both times.
