Ghost types are almost required to catch Beldums.

Having to throw 80+ ultraballs at a paralyzed legendary with 1 hp. Kinda ruins the moment when a tense battle with a mythical beast turns into mashing A waiting for a nearly dead mythical beast to stop feebly escaping. If you can get a legendary pokemon to 1hp with a status ailment without killing it or getting your own team killed, I say you deserve a capture in like 5 ultraballs.

I got lucky and chained a shiny beldum, but I didn't know at the time that the little fuckers had the Legendary catch rate. Ended up having to waste my Master Ball on him before he killed himself.

On a similar note, shinies should simply not exist in the Safari Zone, it's too cruel. After I learned about shinies I avoided the SZ like the plague, but in HG/SS there's a guy that wants you to go inside the SZ to retrieve something for him; I thought 'yeah, all right, what are the odds?' I shit you not, I step into the SZ grass and the very first encounter I had was a shiny Smeargle, who immediately ran away when his turn was up >:8

Just the ones I remember right now:

* GF obviously lying about the reason for dex cut in swsh (they didn't really improve anything they said they would improve in exchange for not focusing on dex completion, the cart space shows there's still enough for all the Pokemon, they claimed to carefully choose what makes the cut to fit the region but the end result does not reflect that at all, and the models are still the same models they've used since gen 6, so there's no porting issue either)

* Ridiculous level of handholding in the story from Gen 7 onward, and how easy the story is, as if they suddenly decided the franchise isn't even for kids anymore, it's for toddlers instead

* Home being sudden new feature that pretty much exist only as larger money grab considering Bank is not only much cheaper, but also, Bank is initially claimed to be planned to last for multiple generations, which implies a lot, not just two generations

* Mega Evolution not being a permanent feature (permanent as in there are always new Megas from Gen 7 onward)

* Shinies in Safari Zone, either shiny should be disabled there, or make Safari Balls have 100% catch rate on shinies

* Gen 6 games not having a third game to flesh the generation out, it's clear X/Y was made with a Z game in mind

* Things not having moves or ability they logically should have. There's surprisingly a ton of stuff, this include things like Lunala's Shadow Shield not having Levitate effect as well when it physically cannot touch the ground due to its design (naturally, Solgaleo's Full Metal Body also needs another effect added to make them equal)

* Gigantamax Libero Cinderace being pretty much Protean Greninja on huge crack, so much that it's almost an instant "I win" button, there's no way GF didn't catch on how broken it is, so this has to be a deliberate move, which is ridiculously stupid

* Zen Mode ability being ridiculously stupid for Unovan Darmanitan (with Galarian Darmanitan, at least the drawback isn't too crippling since Zen Mode Galarian Darmanitan is still a physical sweeper, and doesn't suddenly switch into a slow spatk-based tank)

* Liquid Voice ability being useless since nobody's gonna be giving Hyper Voice to Primarina just to make use of Liquid Voice when it has a strong STAB sound move already

* Moves and abilities that are literally just the exact same thing with different name

* Arceus's Judgement not changing type based on Z-Crystal held when Arceus itself changes type based on Z-Crystal held

* The "Battle" facilities - while dataminers keeps claiming it's fair, the high number of players who have felt the unfairness indicates there's something going on, especially when it happened more than once or twice for the player, meaning there's clearly something the computer does behind the scene that the dataminers refuse to reveal for whatever reason

* The spit on the fans GF did for Battle Frontier (not including it is one thing, but teasing about it fully knowing they'll never do it? That's just being a prick)

* masuda (or badsuda as some people call him now) still in full charge of Pokemon games when it's clear he has lost his touch years ago since Gen 6 ended, all he's good for now is music, everything else he decided only ends up making the newer games worse

* Still no proper mosquito and dolphin Pokemon (Buzzwole is a mosquito, but Ultra Beasts are kinda "semi-not-Pokemon", so.....)

* in Pokemon Rumble World (a Gen 6 era spin-off game), not putting Hoopa in when it's all it takes to complete the entire dex in Gen 6 era, even more annoying is that not putting Hoopa in made the total amount of different species available to be 719, just one species shy of getting to the next trainer rank, as it is now, everyone are stuck at Rank 79 with 9/10 from going into Rank 80, all because they didn't put Hoopa in

* in Pokemon Shuffle (a Gen 6-7 era spin-off game), the makers of the game didn't put anything that's from US/UM when there's just a little that they need to put in (literally just Poipole, Naganadel, and Necrozma's three new forms)

* in Pokemon Picross (a Gen 7 era spin-off game), TPC never officially released the passwords for the unlockable hidden stages, they were known solely because of the dataminers. In fact, I think TPC pretty much did nothing for the game after release. Just set up a simple website for it, and that's it
