I don't think that's a helpful analogy. Taliban have territorial control, something to lose, so they'll be open to some level of negotiation and try not to piss major powers off too much. ISIS has nothing to lose and so they value the infamy of a news-making attack over avoiding the heat that will bring down on them.

I know. That's why I made the comparison.

Lawful evil, as in their values are unethical, but they do believe in order and doing things in a controlled, civilized manner. In other words, the Taliban.

Chaotic evil as in, just wanting to push whatever goal they have, no matter what the cost, no matter how much pain it causes, regardless of law or order. I.e. ISIS

Yeah that's a pretty accurate description.

However I would say that they are about as far close to chaotic evil as you can be without actually being there. They are definitely more Authoritarian than not however.

The taliban are no better then isis, and people need to stop pretending that the taliban is not the enemy. Only reason they are not directly attacking is so the US leaves and they can be free to plan their next move with the USA being an ocean away.
