Doesnt have to be unified by a theme or their only 3 albums, just a stretch of 3 consecutive albums.

Im gonna say Ice Cubes Death Certificate, The Predator and Lethal Injection.

Straight up perfection, it sucks that with modern sample clearing laws well never, ever hear production like this again.

Eminem had 3 in a row with Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show. 50 Cent had 2 in a row with 50 Cent and Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Kanye West had 2 in a row with The College Dropout, Late Registration. Jay Z had 3 in a row with Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album. 50 Cent and Eminem both released their eighth studio albums and ended their 2 in a row streaks at the same time.

Kanye West got a new tattoo at the same time the 50 album came out (the 4 albums in a row being The College Dropout, The Blueprint, The College Dropout, and The College Dropout).

The Eminem LP also had 3 of his albums released, but they were all singles released.

The College Dropout is the only album to have not been #1 on Billboards Album Charts, but was #1 on the R&B Album Charts.

or
Leviathan, Blood Mountain, Crack The Skye by Mastodon
or
Eschaton, Hell Is Empty..., In The Constellation... by Anaal Nathrakh.

The best 3 album run I can think of among bands I like is Pavement. Slanted and Enchanted > Crooked Rain Crooked Rain > Wowee Zowee. Each a contender for their best album, depending on what you like.
