I do enjoy that Nintendo's definition of an "early purchase" is like within the first 3 months of the game releasing. I'm pretty sure I saw that the offer is good until sometime in February.

I've always wanted a Manaphy, but since Pokemon Home became a thing I've become less invested in collecting pokemon.

Technically yes, but it would be really difficult.

Ranger > D/P/Pt (can't remember if HG/SS are compatible) > B/W/B2/W2 (via Poke Transfer) > Pokemon Bank (via Poke Transporter) > Pokemon Home > BD/SP (once Home is updated to support these games)

So all in all, you would need:

* A 3DS, a DS (I think another 3DS can substitute for it) and a Switch system
* A copy of a gen 4 game and a gen 5 game, as well as obviously a copy of BD/SP
* A copy of Pokemon Ranger that hasn't been used to generate a Manaphy egg (good luck finding one)
* The Poke Transporter and Pokemon Bank (with paid subscription) apps downloaded on your 3DS
* The Pokemon Home app downloaded on your Switch
* The patience to wait until Home is updated to support BD/SP

So that ranger manaphy egg is one time only? Couldnt you just reset the file and do it again? If not, thats incredibly scummy

Yes. Transfer them from a gen 3 game to a gen 4 game via Pal Park (this specifically requires an original DS/Lite because you need the GBA slot) and then follow the rest of the same steps from there.

Through legitimate means, yes, it's one per cartridge even if you reset the save file. I believe the only way to fully erase the game to the point where it's able to spit out another Manaphy egg is through homebrew.

I did not know that about Pokmon Ranger. I picked up some used copies of the games and I guess I must've lucked out cause I was able to get a Manaphy Egg.

You can't start a new game in ranger.
