It sounds good on paper, but the reality is, large corporations would try to pay workers as little as possible. Thankfully, even if this jackass gets into office, he can't remove the federal minimum wage.
You think they aren't trying to do this now? If they want to remain competitive their have to raise their wages accordingly. Or lose out and go out of business.

Other then that if someone is actually stupid enough to provide their time and labor for $0, I say let them.

The Chicago, Keynesian, and Austrian Schools of Economic Thought are all very different in their prospective in how they view economics, and yet, they all unanimously agree that Free Trade is a net gain for the planet, much like those in the bodybuilding and fitness communities unanimously emphasis the importance of protein. People opposing Free Trade operate under the same lunacy that flat earthers and the anti-GMOs crowd operate under lol.
That's because they all believe in the market doing its thing and they just differ in how much money the government should give to the market.

You're focusing too much on TC's wording. He doesn't want people to literally work for $0. He just wants the government to stop regulating the minimum wage. Currently, the California minimum wage is $14. So if he removes that, the lowest employers can go, is the federal minimum of $7.25. Sure, if they want to remain competitive, they likely won't drop down all the way to $7.25, but it's unlikely they'd all stay at $14 if they no longer have to.

And that's the problem, he'd be removing that guaranteed wage for people that probably rely on it.

Theres no reason for the minimum wage to not be a livable wage. Anyone who disagrees is on the wrong side of history, no debate. It doesnt matter if all you do is stock shelves at Walmart or greet people at the door. Livable wage.

Pretty much.

Doesn't really matter which side you're on when it comes to wages since employers are short staffed to the point they pay ridiculous wages with benefits they never offered before. What people should be worried about is when the SCOTUS finally gets off their asses and enforces a ruling against the CDC for their Eviction Memorandum, instead of calling it moot because "it will be over next week anyways". When that's gone people that weren't paying their rent are going to be evicted, and they'll be in crippling debt with interest.
Really all that debt should just be forgiven. It will be an unprecedented shitstorm if you convert renters enmasse to homelessness

that $0 is entirely aimed at people who get tips likes restaurant workers. Basically, place the burden of paying employees on the customers, rather than the restaurant owners themselves
The tipping system is fucked as well. It doesnt need to be abolished but it shouldnt be recognised by law. Employees should get the same livable wage (or higher per their employment contract) as everyone else as their base pay and then tips are optional if the customer wants to donate to their server.
