I lived alone for three years after a marriage breakup. But most of my daylight hours were busy with work, I had some evening classes, and my weekends were spent with friends and/or girlfriends, so I didn't really feel alone.

I just realized that today is actually the first day of my life that I live completely alone, since my cat passed away last night. Before that, I lived with my then-girlfriend. Before that, with housemates. Before that, with my parents.

I live alone and enjoy it. I got a 2 bedroom apartment so I turned the spare room into my gaming room.

Yep. My wife did a 1-year volunteer stint out of state several years ago so I was home alone for a while.

I did, but only for like 6 months. Moved into my girlfriend's bigger place for 6 months, then we moved into a bigger place for a couple of years. Got married, and then bought ourselves a condo.

Lived alone for about 4 years after moving out of my mum's place.

If there are other people in the flat doing things like sharing kitchens and whatnot, I'd say no. But then, it's not my topic.

I did for a while. It has its advantages and its disadvantages.

Yeah, twice. Second sucked ass because I lived under a crackhead who would walk around in high heels at 2am talking on the phone for hours. Bought a loud fan and haven't turned back since.

No, closest would be with my sister, or girlfriends.

For 3 summers I lived in Canada for 3 months and worked at Cheetahs of Windsor as a bartender. Stayed at my grandpas house but he was never there, he spent his last couple years in Vegas.

I love living alone. It was more alien living with people and having to consider their wants and needs all the time.

This. In some ways I prefer it. I miss my alone/private time.

I do now. I wouldnt mind living with someone again but it would have to be the right person where our habits mesh.

Ive been fortunate in that Ive never had a horror story living situation even though Ive lived with several different people throughout my life. At this point if its not going to be relatively drama free Id rather live alone.

Kinda my mother admitted herself (long story short had a breakdown shortly after I got her away from her abusive husband) for a few months and all I did was work come home and sleep. Only thing that was just as miserable is when I lived with my best friend and we where poor as shit. No tv no internet no phones. Only got to eat once a day.

Well we had local channels on tv. But we didnt like anything that played so it would be left on something like Bob ross for background noise

Fortunately due to my job we have different sleep schedules so I get my alone time. Was better when she still worked cause I got the house to myself for awhile on my off days

Ive lived alone for about five months this year. I didnt like it much. Before that, I lived with a very large family (my parents, my twin brother, my sister, five young nieces and nephews), and before that I had my parents and the five brothers and sisters.

I have my girlfriend and my cat with me, I feel a lot less lonesome now.

I was in a single person dorm room in college for a few years, but other than that I've always lived with someone else.

I currently live alone except for my kitten. Was totally alone for 11 months after my last cat had to be put down.
