I saw bits and pieces of TNG as a child cause my mom would occasionally watch it. It's one of those childhood cultural things where despite never fully watching it, it was always around me so I already knew a little info about it like some character names and personalities. Decided to get into it and have really been loving it so far. Just finished Season 2. Also downloaded the rest of the Star Trek series to watch after I finish TNG and it's movies. I saw them after they released their second album(when they were still good). They were on a big tour with Godsmack and Rob Zombie. Shinedown's lead singer had some fucking pipes on him. Was really impressed with them. We were also in an outdoor amphitheater where it was a pouring down rain the entire concert. Dude announced that everyone in the lawn section(not under the sheltered seating) looked miserable and it was wasn't fair they had to deal with the rain. He grabbed a wireless mic, hopped off stage, and ran up the aisle into the muddy lawn to perform a song with them. It was great moment. It's a Seth MacFarlane show, and he's the captain of the ship in the show, if you are a Family Guy hater, don't get turned away lol. It takes a couple episodes for it to settle in but it turns out to be a pretty excellent series, with good humor and very varied episodes like TNG. I think it's all on Hulu. Happy Birthday Johnny, but i'm with you man, each year I try to entirely avoid it also, try not to tell anyone at work, and work if I can.
