No. It's illegal, but in no way morally wrong if the only way to play is to buy it second hand. If they don't want to provide a legal way to play it, then there's no argument to be made other than weird moral grandstanding.

If the developer is no longer selling it, it's fair game. Those who want it for collection purposes want the physical media (and associated items), ROMs don't hurt their resale value; the developer is no longer selling it, so they don't lose a sale. Piracy of current software is a more subjective matter, but there is objectively nothing wrong with abandonware; it's in the same category as things that offend (but don't actually harm) people.
