We recently got a Whirlpool fridge. Our dishwasher is now in need of repair, but it's so old I want to replace it. My wife said we should get a Whirlpool dishwasher to "match". Why? They do not talk to each other. No one should care that they do match. I understand if you're buying a discounted set all at once, like a fridge oven dishwasher combo. But not like this.

I dont think any of mine match. I dunno what make the fridge and washer is. they are covered by like a wooden door to match the cupboards.

Just for brand name is kind of dumb. But if those generations of washer/ fridge match aesthetically, I'd say she has a point.
