A study by University of Oxford scientists has found that people who contract the Delta variant of COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated carry a similar amount of the coronavirus as those who catch the disease and have not been inoculated. The researchers stressec that vaccination still offers good protection against catching the disease in the first place, and getting seriously ill with it.

Looks like the research is showing that the vaccine is still effective against the variant for the person who received the vaccine, but they are still spreading it similar to someone who is unvaccinated. What do you guys think about this latest scientific research?

Sounds exactly like what the vaccine manufacturers warned us about this time last year, and why it was super dumb for any jurisdiction to drop masking and social distancing requirements.

Sounds like the vaccine is successful and safe, and everyone who is able to get it should get it.

I'm constantly seeing people parading this sort of stuff around as if the answer isn't always "then get vaccinated, dumbass." Who cares how much viral load a person has if they and everyone else is vaccinated? Maybe this is relevant for places like Australia or Thailand or whatever that couldn't/didn't buy vaccines but the US has so many unused shots that people are starting to line up for a 3rd one.
