I'm just skipping the demo. Want to get it, but unsure of where. Don't have a new console and can't find a gpu to buy, so my only real option is ps4, but I would rather have it on pc, but then, of course, I can't play it until I find a gpu for sale.

my initial thoughts:
this game is beautiful. and then the character i picked (main sword guy) appears looking like he's straight from tetsuya nomuras sketchbook. doesn't fit with the scenery at all. the camera is way, way too close to your character, with seemingly no way to pull it back. it's kind of claustrophobic. the battle system feels like i'm playing star ocean the last hope. --- my delusion is better than facing the truth about me ... Beat the demo a couple of times, Law and Kisara seem to be my favorites so far. Law for normal battles and Kisara for boss battles. Alphen is definitely strong too and I bet Rinwell will be broken like Rita in player's hands. Shionne is cool but I feel she's better as an AI. Dohalim intrigued me most initially but I wasn't really feeling his artes, hopefully he gets better in the full game.
The artstyle is gorgeous and the battle theme is pretty catchy (coming off the Dragon Quest XI soundtrack, everything is an improvement) . I kinda miss the old skit style but the new style looks good too. Combat is really fun and combos get crazy but I'm having a hard time finding a button layout that will make the controls more comfortable. R1 for normal attacks has gotta go.
