I heard the Platinum pokedex is there, but any of the good shit like Battle Frontier in it too? Or is Gamefreak literally gonna pull that bullshit again like with Omega Ruby, where they're like "Well kids today don't have the attention span to play past the main story cuz of smartphone games, so we decided to exclude the Battle Frontier from ORAS" or whatever the stupid fucking quote was >_>

Aside from the Pokedex additions, doesn't look like it.

Even the map pulls more from DP instead of Platinum. There's less snow, and you can see only the Battle Tower, not the whole Battle Frontier:

There's a reason why people say that Gen 5 peaked. It seems that the 3DS era brought about a paradigm shift in how Game Freak approaches the games.

I loved ORAS for what it was - and the new postgame quest and legendary catching - but iirc it gave Emerald's content a giant middle finger. The lack of a proper Battle Zone was especially noticeable.

The delta episode was shit, nothing but long walls of text and then a Deoxys battle

And they left out the goddamn battle frontier

But I guess at some point they were like "hey let's turn Mauville into a shopping mall" because everyone was clamoring for that change

The main substantial thing they added was the Legendary hunt via Hoopa's rings.

...Which I guess they thought we loved so much, because they repeated it via different methods in USUM and Crown Tundra.
