It seems while Gens 1-3 got an actual remake treatment, gen 4 is just getting a Link's Awakening style remake in that they swap the models and make a few QoL improvements here or there. Again, favorite one, but the remakes aren't really hyping me up. Legends though, that's where I'm pooling my short-term gaming excitement. Nothing is really impressing me lately within the next few months, but I am excited to see what will hopefully be an ambitious title by GameFreak for once. To think this is a mainline game, it fills me with hope that this could be the spark that gets me back into Pokemon. Gen 8 has overall felt lackluster (and 7 as well tbh, didn't pick up Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon), so it'd be nice to see something. As for the DP remakes, I'll be honest, I really hope dynamax isn't in it. I know it's customary to include the current gen's gimmick in the remakes, but dynamax just... it's not my thing really. I mean considering they cut out some of the mons to seperate them in the different versions they better compensate with some nice new extras as well. Been waiting for months for news about this too.
