When I still had a Twitter account (back in June or July 2020), an uncle of mine sent me some wE aRe aLl HuMaN or wE aRe aLl eQuAl crap from this MAGA capper political commentator. If I recall correctly, I asked him does that apply to undocumented immigrants and he had no response. He had sent me that in response to a tweet of mine days ago regarding BLM. Its weird having a Mexican-American uncle that is a Fox News loving hard-liner partisan Republican, even weirder and sad that he went down the rabbit hole of believing every dumbass far-right peddled conspiracy theory. Im not one to tell anyone how to vote or who they should vote for, but I am glad that my Republican aunt has a conscience and didnt vote for that jackass.

The UK equivalent of this is the working class northerner who's having every social infrastructure safety net gutted by conservatives and yet will still keep voting for them because *checks notes* something something EU something something, uh, they're taking our jobs, them over there. And uh left wing snowflakes! Etc.

God it makes you want to cry.

The UK will do this to themselves yet again if the Labour Party continues running far-left loon politicians like Jeremy Corbyn.

Corbyn was destroyed by a long running targeted propaganda campaign by the tories. He wasn't even that far left or that loony. But when you make your platform about actually being held accountable for wrongdoings it becomes comically easy to take you down.

Like nevermind that Boris has a well documented history of racism, sexism, anti-semitism - every -ism in the book - this standard only applied to the labour party. The people who made this an issue never cared about it at all, they just wanted to win.

The dude is a crank that adheres to Trumpian flavored Nativist opposition to Free Trade agreements and Free Enterprise/Markets. Furthermore, he is a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist. Everyone claims to loves Denmark and Norway, except when theyre hating the single greatest tool in the planets history in wiping out poverty in Free Trade agreements lol. Jeremy Corbyn is far away from the Tony Blairs of the world.

The point I'm making is that he wasn't beaten because of his stance on free trade agreements. He was beaten because he was singularly unpopular for social policy and scandal reasons. I mean do we really think Brexiteers were motivated by sound economic principles?
