The best time to go shopping imo. I wish I could do this more often because I typically work through the morning, but I got a nice little day off today. This feels so right.

best time to go shopping is a large 24/7 (well 24/6) Supermarket/superstore at like 4AM.

Staff have been filling all night so its rammed full, and there's only like 6 other customers there so you have this massive place all to yourself like a king

One of the things I miss most during covid.

You will never see a happier Tesco clerk than one at 4:30 AM who is moments away from finishing their shift.

On days off I'll occasionally swing by the grocery store after I drop my kid off at school, it's like a fraction of the number of people as usual and most of them are elderly. It's so easy to shop

Yeah, this is why I love it. It's so much easier to navigate and find things with less people moving about.

But Friday or Saturday night shopping is also pretty lit

i generally agree, but be careful about Monday mornings. the last time i went to the grocery on Monday morning it was packed with stay at home moms (presumably filling up after the weekend) and there was also a bus from the senior citizens home.

I worked the overnight shift in L.A. for a year and can confirm it is glorious for shopping. We have Tesco in L.A. but I prefer Ralphs.

Go to the market on an off day and no soccer moms or Karens, No parking problems, etc. The lights are dimmed but it's you and maybe 8 other people.

You can ask for a product straight off the truck, vs. how long whatever product was on the shelf.

Only problem with working nights is that I basically became a vampire.
