So its said that an apartment is considered affordable if the monthly rent is no more than 30% of ones total monthly income.
Well, I was offered an apartment where the monthly rent is kind of high for me. My total monthly income wouldnt be enough. I was told that I could use a grant to pay for the first few months of rent, so that by then, my total monthly income would be enough to pay the rent. Is it usually advisable to move into an apartment I would need to use a grant for? Should I accept such an apartment or turn it down? ... Copied to Clipboard!

You shouldnt be spending more than a quarter of your income on housing if it's feasible tbch

Really depends on what housing looks like where you live, tbh.
