Out of all FF games, this one seems to be in the middle of peoples lists the most

Personally, I couldn't get into it. I've tried numerous times to give it a go, but the most I can be bothered playing is a few hours - the battle system feels awkward and the story doesn't catch my interest at all.

No, it's pretty bad. FF13 has a reputation for being an auto-battle game, but it's clear the people who say that haven't played 12.

Which is nice for your party members, and nice for Auto-Healing stuff. But yeah, you can easily make the game do that

However, and something I've thought about. Is the whole thing to set that up like making a game in RPG Maker and Coding? If you're HP > 80% then use Full Cure On Your Self, that's that sort of stuff I see when I'm trying to make a game on RPG Maker

So I just thought it was kind of cool, I guess.

It was good but that's far as I would go. The story was kinda poopoo, half the characters were lame, the exploration, battle, and prep were fun

Twinking with gambits in 12 is incredibly fun. You feel like a game coder.

But then the result of your twinking is that battles play themselves and you feel bad.

I wouldn't go as far as "among the best" but it's definitely better than the PS3 FFs.

I REALLY enjoyed the gear in the game as well. I don't really remember any of them, but I do remember really enjoying collecting them

I play XII, like most Final Fantasy games, Solo at one point. I remember racking up Chain, after Chain just to get awesome Sword from this Werewolf early in the game. It was a Rare Drop, and getting a big Chain make the Chance even better.

I tried playing it again, but just couldn't. I'm too dumb to figure out the battle system now
