Yes, the Field of Dreams movie -- rustic country setting, corn galore, etc. First MLB game ever played in Iowa, I believe. The site's been snazzed up, obviously, to seat 8000. Broadcast will be on FOX, so check your local listings. (I've seen some people listing the time as 6 or 8, but it's 7PM in my schedule, so let's go with that.)

Yeah, they had to do a huge landscaping project from what I hear. Supposed to be played last year, but due to COVID, it was rescheduled. Home runs should go flying off into the corn!

Yeah, it is on the other side of the cornfield, they did not want to do the actual field because that would require extensive upgrades and they did not want to permanently alter the historical nature of that field.

You can walk from one field to the other tho so they are extremely close.

Yeah, making a new field is sensible -- you don't want to dig up or mess up the original field so many tourists come out to see. I saw a show with Costner yesterday (I think Costas was interviewing him) and he was talking about all the people coming to play catch, and how he'd play catch with random dads in the seats. Now that I'm into baseball, I can feel that love a bit more, haha.

Yeah, I haven't watched in a long time. Decades, probably. I enjoyed it back in the day, but it's only the last couple years where I've been really getting into baseball (at the expense of NBA and NFL), so it didn't leave the biggest impression.
